Do not forget that North Carolina extends beyond Asheville.
As other people in Raleigh have.
After tomorrow Fred will have been in all 100 counties. He has spent a great deal of time in WNC, including the counties west of Asheville.
Fred Smith has been in WNC 61 times in the last 15 months.I know of no ther candidate republican or democrat that has spent as much time in WNC. Fred has shown that he truly cares about the entire state, by visiting all 100 counties. Most of the counties either Fred or a staff member have visited on numerous occassions. It is apparent that WNC and other areas of the state appreciate his efforts, all one has to do is look at the Straw Polls.When Fred visited Cherokee & Clay counties, the most western counties, they told Fred that they thought Zell Miller (former governor of Georgia) was the governor of North Carolina, as Zell Miller lives about 25 miles away in Hiawassee, Ga. They were excited that a statewide candidate, especially a candidate for governor would come to Clay & Cherokee.
