On the Road in Pamlico and Beaufort Counties

Fred visited Pamlico and Beaufort Counties today.  The Pamlico County BBQ was held at Brantley's Village Restaurant  in Oriental at noon.  The crowd there was much larger than expected, requiring the BBQ team to scurry for extra chairs.  DJ reports the audience was very interactive, repeatedly expressing their support during Fred's speech.  Following the BBQ luncheon Fred met with local pastors, then with commissioners and other county elected officials.  He also did several interviews throughout the day with local media.  Following a reception in Bath, the Beaufort County BBQ was held at 6:30 p.m. at Washington High School in Washington, NC.   In spite of weather reports warning of freezing rain, there was a good turnout and a successful event.  The next BBQ on the "Extra Effort" tour will be in Jones County on Monday, January 28th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Jones Senior High School, 1490 NC Highway 58 South, Trenton.
